Keep wicks clean with this Boy Smells metal wick trimmer. Designed to keep your candle's wick neatly trimmed before each burn, aiding in the reduction of soot and smoke that may occur when a charred wick is left too long. The cutting process captures the excess wick for easy discarding. It is always recommended that wicks are trimmed to a 70mm length prior to lighting and now you easily can! Bonus—the Boy Smells logo is engraved on the arms.

Boy Smells is exclusively distributed in Australia & New Zealand by Saison.

Candle Care

These Candles Won’t Self-Care Themselves. Here is a quick guide to maximising your candle experience.

Step 01: Trim
Prior to each lighting, trim the wick to 1/4” for a clean and smoke free burn. Consider using the Boy Smells Wick Trimmer. Also, always protect the surface on which the candle sits.

Step 02: Burn
On your first light, allow the entire surface of wax to melt — Minimum of 3 hours. There will be some “wax wall hanging,” but that’s normal. After the first burn with wax melted to the edge of candle vessel, never let it burn for more than 4 hours. Discontinue use when there is only 1/4" wax left in the vessel.

Step 03: Center
Ensure the wick is centered. After each burn, adjust the wick while the wax is still molten.

Step 04: Upcycle
When a 1/4” to 1/2" of wax is left in your candle, it’s time to discontinue use and upcycle the glass. Always remove the remaining wax. Pro cleaning tip — put the candle in the freezer until the wax is frozen, then said wax should pop out easily.
